In order to be placed onto a Gold team, players must first sign up through PlayMetrics (link above) and indicate their preferred program preference: BLUE or GOLD
Tryouts and evaluations are required to be placed on a Blue team.
Tryouts are not required to be placed on a Gold team, however Gold teams can only be formed if there are enough players and volunteer coaches signed up for the age group.
- If we have enough players to form a team, players will be invited to complete registration and payment (starting in mid-June).
- Players are placed on teams first come, first served.
- In the event that we do not have enough Gold players signed up to form a team in a particular age group by the end of May, players will be notified with their options.
We do take friend requests, school / grade, etc. into consideration whenever possible.

Need to Know (Volunteering)Gold 11-14U teams are assigned an Age Group trainer.
- Trainers will run a group training 1x per week with all teams in the age group.
- Trainers will focus on footskills and technique - run drills and scrimmages
Regent also relies on parent volunteers to help coach and manage teams at this age.
In addition to the age group trainer, we suggest 2-3 volunteers per team.
- No experience is necessary to coach or manage
- Coaching class is recommended for at least one volunteer
- Regent provides equipment (cones, ball bag, pinnies, game ball, flags) and a t-shirt!
- Regent provides lesson plans, drills in PlayMetrics, as well as a guide to help volunteers throughout the season.
- Volunteers can request when/where they practice for the volunteer-led practice.
Volunteers are required to upload a photo, complete a background check and SafeSport training (Risk Management).
If you are interested in volunteering with your child's team, and want to learn more, visit our Need to Know page!
