Regent uses tryouts to identify kids who are looking for more out of their soccer experience.

• What they are: A Placement Tool

  • We use the tryout process to place kids on teams based on their ability in an effort to get them onto teams where they will thrive.
  • Players will be placed on either a Blue or Gold team (see below for the differences between Blue & Gold)

• What they are not:  A Judgement Tool to exclude or get rid of players

How do I know what Age Group to try out for?

Tryout Age Groups:

Fall 2024 - Spring 2025

Players are eligible to try out for 11U and older teams.
Tryouts take place toward the end of the Spring season (for the next playing year).
Use the chart below to see what age group your player is in for the upcoming playing year.

Playing Year: 

Players will receive an offer to play in either the Regent Blue program or the Regent Gold program.

Offer notifications occur in mid-June. See the Tryout Schedule below for exact dates.

Regent's goal is for every player to be successful (i.e., have fun, compete, meet new friends, and improve soccer skills).

All Regent teams start in mid-late August.
