Upcoming Y Courses

The YI remains the minimum license level required to coach in Wisconsin. Participants of Youth Module Certificate Courses are provided with an entire season of lesson plans and activities to take directly to the field. Registered candidates are given access to a self-study manual to be completed before attending a 90 minute in-person field session. Preregistration is required. Both courses are complimentary for WYSA members.

YI & YII Eligibility
  • Participants must be at least 14 years of age.
  • You must attend the entire session to earn the certificate.
  • Participants should come dressed and prepared to participate

Grassroots Coach Licensing in the MAYSA District

Grassroots Coach Licensing courses in the MAYSA District! Register today!

To earn a Grassroots license, register for and attend the virtual classroom followed by the in-person session. 

Middleton (9V9): 12/12 Virtual Classroom 7:30-9:30pm and 12/17 Field Session 10:00am-12:00pm
Middleton (11V11): 12/13 Virtual Classroom 7:30-9:30pm and 12/17 Field Session 1:00-3:00pm

To be eligible to register for one or both courses first complete the brief (20 minute) Introduction To Grassroots Coaching

WYSA SIDELINE PROJECT:

The club competition has ended, but we still encourage all our club parents and coaches to take the 15-minute course from The Sideline Project!

All you need to do:

  1. Visit the WYSA Sideline Project Registration Page - https://leader.thesidelineproject.com/wisconsin
  2. Fill out the registration form and click on "Take the Course"
  3. Once you have successfully completed the course, your name and Regent's name will be posted to the "Pledge Wall"
  4. Clubs, parents and families can check back until October 10 and watch the live "Course Completion Club Leaderboard" to see the progress of each club and how many of our WYSA families are taking the Pledge to improve the soccer game day experiences for everyone!
