This is a milestone moment for our club. Since 1970, Regent Soccer Club has been rooted in the near west side of Madison, providing an inclusive, fun, and affordable place for kids to fall in love with the beautiful game. Landing our first-ever jersey sponsor is a meaningful step forward in our growth—and we couldn’t be more excited that it’s coming from within our own Regent family.

Upcoming Age Group Changes for 2026-2027

Beginning with the upcoming playing year, Regent SC will transition from a January-December birth year model to an August 1-July 31 seasonal year structure for team formation, in alignment with guidance from US Youth Soccer, MAYSA and WYSA.

Introducing Regent's new Executive Director

Dear Regent Soccer Club Community,

We are pleased to announce that Sara Stern is joining Regent Soccer Club as our new Executive Director.

Sara brings a strong background in organizational leadership, youth soccer coaching, and relationship building, along with a deep appreciation for youth sports and the role community soccer plays in developing players, families, and coaches. A native of McFarland, Sara competed for four years on the women’s soccer team at UW-Milwaukee, contributing to four Horizon League Championships and four NCAA Tournament appearances, and went on to play competitively in Sweden for three years.

She currently serves as the Associate Head Coach for the women’s soccer team at Madison Area Technical College (MATC).

Throughout our search process, Sara demonstrated a thoughtful, collaborative approach and a clear commitment to Regent SC’s mission and values. The Board of Directors is confident that Sara’s leadership will help guide Regent SC forward while

preserving what makes our club special—a strong community, dedicated volunteers and staff, and a focus on accessible, high-quality soccer programming.

Sara will be spending her first weeks getting to know our players, families, coaches, staff, and volunteers, and learning how the Club operates today. We’re excited to welcome her and look forward to the positive impact she will have on Regent SC in the years ahead.

Spring Registration Is Now Open for 6U Players!

⚽️Spread the Word — Spring Registration is Open!

For New 6U Players Only - Kinde and 4K ages

Registration for new 6U players is open as of December 1st — please help spread the word!

�� Important Notes:

Spring registration is only for 6U (current 4K or Kindergarten) players who did not play on a Regent team this Fall
Current Fall players do not need to register again
Spots on existing teams are limited (teams capped at 6-7 players), as we are planning to form new teams this Spring
We will do our best to honor friend/coach/team requests, but requests cannot be guaranteed , and players may be placed on any team with available space (including newly formed teams if needed)

⚡ Goal: We are hoping to have enough players to form two divisions this Spring — a 4K division and a Kindergarten division — and we especially need more 4K players to make that happen!

Teams cannot be formed without enough players and parent volunteers , so your help is essential!

Encourage new players — let friends and neighbors know about registration
Encourage volunteers to help coach or manage teams

Your support helps us grow the age group and ensures every player has a spot on a team.

Regent is Seeking an Executive Director

Regent Soccer Club is looking for an Executive Director to help lead the organization forward. Reporting directly to the Board of Directors , this position will be responsible for the overall direction and success of the club — from big-picture strategy to day-to-day operations.

About the Role

The Executive Director will guide the club in areas such as strategic planning, financial management, operations, staff leadership, and community engagement. They will also serve as Regent’s public face, representing the club with families, partner organizations, and the broader soccer community.

Key Focus Areas

Strategic Leadership – Develop and carry out long-term plans that reflect Regent’s mission and vision.
Financial Oversight – Build and manage budgets, ensure fiscal health, and lead fundraising and sponsorship efforts.
Operations – Oversee programs, events, and vendor relationships to ensure smooth, efficient delivery year-round.
Staff & Volunteers – Hire, support, and lead staff and coaches, while fostering a positive, collaborative environment.
Community Connections – Strengthen relationships with families, players, partner organizations, and other local clubs to make soccer accessible and welcoming to all.

What We’re Looking For

We’re seeking an experienced, mission-driven leader with proven skills in management, operations, and relationship building. Knowledge of youth sports, non-profit organizations, or soccer development is a strong plus. The ideal candidate will be a strong communicator who thrives in collaboration, is comfortable with fiscal responsibility, and brings energy and vision to advancing Regent’s mission.
